Bring back welding doors.

Yes, I know why they were removed; and I remember when Comms could lock doors.

I'd just like it to be a strategy again.

Gorges can block off areas with cots, forming a wall you have to hack through; slowing Marines down. Marines have no such thing.

Remember in the teaser video for Onos, when the marines are waiting outside the door and it slowly busts it open? Imagine those moments, actually in-game.


It'd be sweet. We could try to funnel aliens down a path or at least slow their advice. Add another layer to the meta game.

It'd also help prevent those nasty skulk rushes where the entire Aliens team rushes Marine spawn and smashes the power in before Marines can do a damn thing about it. I've seen games done in under 5 minutes because of this.

    It would be nice if you could weld a door or vent shut but aliens could break it back open. I also think there should be a timer on how often a door or vent should be weldable if that's the case. The vents/paths are there because skulks are much weaker now. Take Nano from veil for instance. That room has 2 vents and 2 pathways. Yet 3 marines beat 6 skulks rushing it at the same time in NS2. 3 Skulks would be trouble in NS1 unless those vents were welded shut (not to mention bilebomb or lerk spikes from there).
