The settings keep resetting still. What gives?

There's no certain pattern to it. Sometimes it resets the graphics, sometimes keybinds, sometimes general settings, sometimes everything, sometimes nothing. I tried making the options.xml read only. Nope. I tried taking a backup copy of it. It still gets reset no matter how many times I copy it back. What the ####?
