Problem- flickering lightning-like objects?

<div class="IPBDescription">Graphics issue</div>So I just installed the game, immidiately there was a problem: certain objects seem to have a mayor graphic issue for my computer.
It's hard to describe but it's basicly lightningshaped purple'ish objects flickering about around certain objects (for instance the flamethrower) making it impossible to see in certain situations (the flamethrower is completely useless, im no blind monk)

I have toyed around with the graphics, minimizing them, maximizing them, waiting for anti-aliasing, not waiting for it, disabling blooming etc.
It makes absolutely no difference it seems.
Have any1 experienced this? what did you do?

Im running w7Ultimate
with INTEL CORE I5 3550 3.3GHZ 6MB S-1155 IVY for processor
and ASUS RADEON HD7970

So i reckon it shouldn't be a System performance issue, i might add i also tried with disabling firewall, even though that would be a very strange reason if you consider what the issue is.

Any suggestions/help? Its at a point where-as id rather just not play atm -_-

    try a different driver. try 12.8 or 12.10

    I'm sorry but English is not my native language.

    When you say "Try a different driver" what are you referring to? a different driver for graphics card? Or a different versino of divx (i might add i did install ns2's version of divx)

    Need to see your log.txt from your % appdata%/natural selection 2/ folder

    Can't seem to find neither the appdata folder or the log textdocument.
    The pathing of my natural selection 2 is currently C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2
    Performed a search for "log" in this folder but no useful documents came up, i did get the undo-log, but its obviusly empty and therefor useless.

    Also searched through my documents folder and c/program files||c/program files (x86)
    without finding any of such.

    I might add: the flamethrower is especialy bad, and i can see the view model enitity error message here to, but what to do?

    If any1 should ever read this and have the same problem i must admitt concession now, i've just deleted the game from my pc as it's useless and the problem is not in my own capabilities to be solved (and none i have asked for help have seemed to find a solution)
    So if any1 sees this and want to troubleshoot, know that It doesnt matter to me anymore as i jsut see the game as a lost cause :)
