type "p_logall" in console by hitting the tilde key(~)
Then play a match and find the log in your AppData/Roaming/natural selection 2 | Folder.
Upload it here, fair warning though they are a doozy. 86MB for mine. The idea is to gather a bunch of these, together, while posting your system specs, and settings.
This is in hopes that they can better increase the performance of the game / find out what to do.
My system is in my signature. My settings are low on everything but textures, @ 2560 x 1440.
My average performance is over 180FPS on the menu, but then in-game, I get as low as 30-40, and it usually stays there. It is the only game I have this problem in. I notice GPU / CPU usage @ 50-60% for GPU, while 40-49% CPU.
I'm also attaching my 'log" file, just for a little extra.

So <b>please</b> only submit those that truly demonstrate instances of polarizing fps to a high degree, as example of where exactly fps is being eaten up. (those of you losing 50% of your fps based on actual in game, non ready room baseline are prime examples)
Also including your dxdiag with it is essential.

Remember this is not your log.txt, but a plog, which you type p_logall in console.
Im at 1680x1050 resolution. I5 3570k @ 4.4ghz, 8GB RAM, Nvidia 560 GTX 1GB, Windows 8 64 bit, Latest nvidia drivers.
My average fps is 38-60 [Im capping @ 60 with MSI Afterburner]
Intense fights it can drop as low as 25 however I only experience this on the mineshaft map and all I had on screen was 2 marines and 2 exo's destroying a hive.
According to MSI Afterburner my GPU Usage is @ 99% on every level especially during intense fight scenes [thats when my fps drops to 30-38].

Your CPU is good, GPU isn't bad.
My issue is both my CPU & GPU are hovering only a little over 50% used when I am having sub 60FPS(As low as 25FPS at times), and my settings are all @ low. Latest NVIDIA drivers as well.
Cmon, let us get as many of these as possible!
