I'm guessing that was a cross-post, because there's already a minimap in the download. Unless there's servers still running the old version(s)...

I'm going to set up a server dedicated just for this map (at least temporarily). I'll probably set it up as 18 or 20 maxplayers as the CPU will be able to handle it.

I'll set it up tonight, and the server IP will be 204.248.53.41:27015

Same specs as my current server, but this will be dedicated for this map and this map only. It'll be up every night after 7PM CST and all weekend, every weekend.

I might take it down after a while (weeks), but it should be relatively lag free, and this way there will always be a server up for this map.

Argh, I gave a guy rcon access to that server and I think it's running other maps now. Thus, it'll have to be voted in :/

I have never made a map before so I dunno how my opinion stacks up...
I like the map (I have 11th_hr121) but I cant find a server playing it. I've only been able to observe and run around as a skulk, I'm really anxious to see how it plays out.

I know you said that you're still working on r_speeds or whatever that is (I'll assume that it's graphical complexity related) and I'd just like to mention something kinda weird I found in big smoke. If I stand in that room and look at the entire smoke particle thing and my fps isn't affected (60-80fps is normal for me). Then if I jump up onto the platform that emits the smoke and look into the particle effect, my fps drops, almost instantly to a constant 30fps. Seemed kind of strange that I'd lose that much performance looking at less of the effect than when I can see the entire thing.

Keep up the good work, with a little tweaking this could be very good!

Yeah, I visited the server and it was empty and not running 11th Hour. I'll visit every now and then and see what's up.

And Dr Shaggy, the reason that viewing a particle effect up close slows rendering to a crawl is that video cards (and the HL engine) happen to slow down when rendering large transparent sprites over the whole screen, especially over wpoly geometry. Rendering the entire set of sprite effects is less of a problem, because it isn't so large, and the effect isn't being rendered over as many wpolys.
