Hi guys,
I played A LOT of NS 2 this weekend (a total of 26 hours since I downloaded it on friday). I've been having loads of fun, but I think there is one big flaw in the game. It's the way it assigns points to actions you perform in-game. For a game that encourages team-play this much, it's weird that you don't get points for assisting in a kill. What's even weirder is that when you build something with someone, it seems that the points assigned for building are assigned at random to just one of the builders. I also don't understand why repairing does not get you points. My suggestions are that:
- kill assists be included (including killing buildings),
- "build assists" be included as well,
- repairing or healing should give you points (I think that as it is, it's pretty boring to play Gorge, as your actions, which are capital, are not really recognized).
I think implemeting what I suggested would make players do what they are supposed to do more often, and thus improve gameplay. I think as it stands score doesn't mean much in the game, it does not even come close to accurately reflecting who's the better player in the team.
Cheers.
