I have the exact same problem. my log says cannot load alien shader.....etc. When i get ingame either my screen is whit, black or I can't see the things it couldn't load. I've tried this on 2 systems and the same thing happens. I hope I can get if fixed and you .
I had this exact same problem and fixed it by making all graphics application controlled in my graphics control center.
People say try verifying your cache but that's a given, also try pressing CTRL+R and accessing "%APPDATA%\Natural Selection 2\cache" and deleting everything in that folder, but not the folder itself.

Yes and it is working. It has no other problem with any other shaders. Com station, armory, ip. But it can't see m to get the egg, the crag, the veil, the shader... I tried it on a PC and I still had the same problem.
