Constant need to delete cache

<div class="IPBDescription">Is this going to be fixed, or left in as a part of the game?</div>Basically before every ns2 session, I am having to delete my game cache (as stated as a fix to the authentication game joining issue). Is there any attempts to fix this issue so that constant deletion of the game cache is no longer necessary? Its a huge pain in the ass!
Any clarification on what the status on this is would be cool!
Also to clarify, I have done the thing on steam which fixes the files, and I have also re-downloaded the game
And to add today I tried to join a game, which worked but the server became full. Then every server I tried to join after that had the authentication issue. yes that's right, deleting my cache lasted one attempt at joining a game before failing.
