<div class="IPBDescription">I have a cause for this, but no fix.</div>Everytime I start NS2, regardless of using steam or clicking directly on NS2.exe, the game turns the screen black for a second and then exits. It doesn't provide a debug message either.
Now it used to startup fine, but I tried to change my graphics options in-game to 1600X1200 when it was at the default resolution, and it crashed my game. Ever since then, whenever I try to start it up does the above stated crash. Tried a bunch of suggested things like deleting shaders folder, etc, but 3 hours later and Im still stuck.

Try Alt+enter once the game loads to get into windowed mode, just in case.
You can always manually change your resolution in the systems_options.xml file in that same appdata folder, mine is:
C:\Users\Ironhorse\AppData\Roaming\Natural Selection 2\system_options.xml
EDIT: Ok, well my option file is COMPLETELY empty, but what I did find in the log file was this:
Date: 11/04/12
Time: 17:31:35
--------------------------------------------------------------
Build 228
Error: Steam must be running to play Natural Selection 2
Saving options to non-cloud storage
Render Device: ATI Radeon HD 5670 (7.14.10.304)
It's silly, because I'm USING steam to start it up. I'm online and everything too.
Thanks anyways!

Build 228
Steam initialized
Render Device: ATI Radeon HD 5670 (7.14.10.304)
Error: IDirect3DDevice9::Reset to 1600x1200 failed (Invalid call)
Error: Attempted to load remote options from a file that does not exist.
EDIT: I think the problem might be my computer can't support that resolution.
