<div class="IPBDescription">I had caps-lock on, and I was like, "Run with it, Sam."</div>I wanted to take more time on this alien stuff; but a lot of people haven't really been putting out ideas for the Khaara, and many have favored the Marines, so I figured it was about time I gave some love to the Aliens. Also; as stated in all other posts, I have no pictures, I'm a terrible descriptive writer, my apologies.

So; from what I've studied 'Biest' means 'Beast' in German, now taking the idea from the way people named the Khaara, I've decided I would do a spin-off of a life-form which like the Khaara is named after the words said most frequently in a recording or distress signal from a German-manned crew. Or at least, a German speaking crew, of all things possible.

Description: The 'Beast' is a large, monstrous creature, somewhat similar to the size of the Onos, though unlike its distant cousin it is a large volatile monster. In shape it is like an arachnid, scaling up to at least ten to fifteen feet high, with a tripod like body. The foremost 'claw' of its tripod form is the biggest and the largest. Evolved in the form of a large shield, it is impenetrable to all things other then explosives and fire, having an impervious carapace to basic arms-fire, though it is weak to heat and explosives have the ability to blast through the thick-shell like armor. The two back legs are much weaker and unlike the front one are simply used to propel the creature forward. This evolutionary flaw makes it impervious to gunfire from in front, though it does indeed lack the ability to back up very fast as it has no pivotal joints and is balanced upon the tips of massive claws. Biest however, has been noted, to have the ability to rapidly spin itself, making it a very powerful initiating alien with the ability to attack and initiate humans in combat and soak up their gunfire while allowing its allies to kill or simply rotating its form to continue stopping gunfire with its foremost claw.

The center of this beast is a large chitin-plated shell with a thick-round spherical sack underneath it. Like the Gorge, the Biest's belly 'glows' a vibrant orange, as well as constantly vibrates and convulses almost completely separate from the alien life-form itself, creating a somewhat grotesque and living aura of the creature. Frontiersman have said to visibly <i>see</i> there friends and allies pushing against the inner-walls of the creatures belly, trying to escape the digestive enzymes and acids inside of its belly that slowly and painfully kill its swallowed victims. The sack itself is attached to a large-massive and jagged carapace of chitin in a disc like shape, just as the three-spine like legs are attached by hard-chitin covered joints to the same disc-like shape. Several tendrils hang down from the side of its carapace along both the 'abdomen' of the creature as well as the backside of the large-pillar like spines it uses to move. It is quite speculated that it uses these long dangling, and dragging, tentacles to grab its prey, before swallowing them whole by shoving them up into the large mouth on the bottom half of the hanging sack.

Several incursions with the beast have noted its primary methods of attack. A powerful impaling attack with its foremost leg that can easily kill a single marine with insufficient armor, if not outright rip him in halves, or cause severe damage to an Exosuit. It also has the ability to disperse a thick-sludge like goop from the mouth placed on its sack-like belly, this of course not only slows Marines who are unlucky enough to be caught in it, but it has acidic enzymes inside of it that melt away at their body, and for some horrendous oddity, the sludge seems to have a sentience of its own as one who stands in it for too long will note that it is <i>crawling</i> up their body to engulf the rest of them becoming more powerful of an acidic-compound as time goes on spent inside of it. One of its most prominent, though very weak attacks, is the ability to fire thick cloud of ink, as though they were the Shade like structures, to cover its escape though with such a large creature, its speculated this is done more for its allies then itself as one could fire into the cloud and likely still hit the target. A fact has been heavily noted, that the creature has an extremely large amount of armor, and while it is durable, weapons of a flame variety seem to cause it the most damage whereas of course bullets from things such as the pistol, assault rifle, and the shotgun, seem to have little effect on it. Though it has been noted the Exosuit can still pack a considerable punch with its Mini-gun, it is once again, still quite a dulled effect.

Biest

Health: I'd say around 2000, unlike the Onos which can inflict massive damage, this creature has been planned by me as more of a support-tank, it swallows up enormous amounts of damage, but the only real attack it has is its impalement.

Armor: For this; I'd say it only has around 200 (600 with Carapace), now this is for a very specific reason. The creature is almost impervious to small arms fire, it however, is extremely weak to fire even where it is almost invulnerable to gunfire, this means its armor really shouldn't be too high as the fire should still cause it damage. The armor is only there to make it a bit harder to kill for this skilled Marines who have the gut to side-step it, and attempt to shoot it in the abdomen, where its large fleshy-sack like structure (and mouth) hangs.

Energy: 50, (perhaps 100 or so with Adrenaline, if it still gives you that base energy increase, I forgot if it does still)

Speed: About 3, this is because unlike the Onos, this thing is mainly a tank, and an extremely large one at that, it waddles on three-spine or 'knife' like legs similar to that of a crab, and is covered in extremely heavy chitinous plates. I'd also say this is one of the Aliens that Celerity should not be allowed on due to the fact that could make it quite powerful in both escape and initiation abilities.

Evolve Cost: I believe this should be between 60-70, its a late game creature like the Onos, made to soak up damage or distract the enemy team while Aliens do their rushes, or come to help engage and it can be used to do this quite efficiently, too.

Abilities--

Alien Vision: Duh, we all know what this does, derp!

Bunker Up: Unlike the Onos, I believe its Left-shift should cause it to pull its crab-like legs together in a bid to protect itself from damage more effectively, this should cost energy per-second used. I'd say five for every five seconds, meaning it could go for a good twenty seconds or so of extremely minimized damage before falling again into gunfire. (This may seem useless as its front is impervious to bullets, or damn near close, but this effects both its hind-legs as well)

Impale: I'd say 50-70 damage to a target in melee range, causing Puncture damage, as well as doing heavy bleeds on the target that continue until the commander drops a Medical Pack, or he makes it to an Armory... Or dies, that too. I realize others may think it having no duration time is silly and over-powered, but come on people, your wounds don't just close up like magical faeries are up in this grill.

Acidic Sludge: The Biest trails large amounts of slime or sludge wherever it walks, depleting its energy as it does so as though it were the Lerk using Spores or Umbra, this would do base damage that can hurt Exosuits quite badly, though its real strength comes from the increasing damage per second the longer one person stands in it. I'll leave the balancing of this to the developers and/or the community itself.

Ink Cloud: Just like the Shade building, the Biest releases thick black ink into the air, this can both be used to hide its escape if the player is desperately trying to pull back, or to mask the incoming presence of its allies.

Headshot wise, I believe the middle sack, or its abdomen, should be the headshot area. As a creature like this clearly has no real 'head', and therefore its most weakest part, or at least the part where a damage should be increased for attacking, is the weakest and softest part on the creature which is between its bullet-proof 'legs'. This life-form is also extremely weak to fire, and moderately weak to explosives, I say explosives moderately because of course it has an extremely hard chitin that bullets do almost nothing to, but of course, Fire is not a projectile and unlike bullets it melts. It melts fast, too. I believe a member named 'Volcano' had asked what he, or Aliens in general, would receive if a previous suggestion of mine had been added, and I'd like to comment in a friendly manner that this is my counter to the opposed 'over-powered' design of <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=123270" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/in...howtopic=123270</a> which was created by me for the Marines.

Thank you for reading; your critique is welcome, and if somebody (or a mass of more then one), desires I write a fan-fiction on this specific creature and its background I'll be happy to do it.
