Can't locate server

I have checked other people screenshot and for some reason, my server browser does not have filter on it and I could not even locate any server or joining one using the play now function.

I was not even able to locate the word filter. One surprising find is that it state buid 214 where NS right now is build 228. I just downloaded this game today. I had tried beta before when it was laggy and uninstall it. When I tried to re-install it last month, this happened, so I unistalled it. Now I am stuck. Need help on this

Err... i'd do a complete re install again..
Delete the steam cache, then ensure all instances are gone in the %appdata% and steam folders that reference Natural selection 2.
Then install it.

I did that, and it worked. The annoying part now is that, today, I tried to load the game again and I accidentally click on SYNC and my server filter is gone again. I hope they fix this problem soon. Verifying integrity of the file does nothing

I tried doing the same thing by deleting everything and this time I am back to the beginning. I hope a dev can help me on this. I am wondering, how could this happen when I updated to the latest version and it still show me an old version
