    Running the Servers on WINE is...yea...it works, but the performance isn't that great.

    I think, that my Root Server could actually handle a 12 slot NS2 Server properly, but with the WINE backend stuff...no.

    Means, proper Linux Bins are required and the WINE emulation is only a temp. solution.

    RMS/"St. iGNUcius" would actually disapprove of the Linux server (or as he would prefer it to be called, GNU/Linux). It's composed of multiple closed source binaries and is full of proprietary systems/formats. And even though the game code is available in its source form, it's not actually "open source" because it's not licensed so.

    On the last <a href="http://www.twitch.tv/naturalselection2/b/338341441?t=590" target="_blank">Q&A </a>it was said by Hugh that the Linux dedicated server is being developed off-site and that no ETA is available.
