This, which is not the same as having a dedicated linux server build.

Running the Servers on WINE is...yea...it works, but the performance isn't that great.

I think, that my Root Server could actually handle a 12 slot NS2 Server properly, but with the WINE backend stuff...no.

Means, proper Linux Bins are required and the WINE emulation is only a temp. solution.

It's composed of multiple closed source binaries and is full of proprietary systems/formats. And even though the game code is available in its source form, it's not actually "open source" because it's not licensed so.
