Black Screen - Shader loading

I purchased NS2 on launch day but since then have been unable to play the game as the main menu screen remains black with music and menu sounds.

<a href="http://pastebin.com/bcXWsPhb" target="_blank">log.txt</a>

<a href="http://pastebin.com/pjPn9thQ" target="_blank">dxdiag</a>

I've tried deleting the shaders in the ns2 folder and verifying and i've reinstalled twice.
ATI Catalyst is updated as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks for replying ironhorse.

I just tried updating to the latest revision (12.6) and the card is now v8.970 which is the latest from 3/07/2012. A clean install of the video driver also
did not seem to work as I'm still getting the same shader wasn't available error.

Hrmm.. if you have already deleted the shaders folder and re downloaded them, i'm not really sure what could be causing those errors..

Have you ran the DXSETUP.exe found in the "redist" folder?

Much apologies this isn't working for you. Could you do Start->Run, type %appdata%, hit enter, then open "Natural Selection 2" and then "cache" - then tell us how many files are in there, maybe take a screenshot of the explorer window?

And after you've done that, try just deleting all files in the 'cache' folder and restarting NS2.

At the moment, there doesnt seem to be a cache folder in appdata at all, only log.txt and system_options.xml
