First impression suggestions!

So far I have really enjoyed NS2, it is a very unique and entertaining game. Upon playing a map from the very start to the bloody end, I noticed the Marines have a big disadvantage. The aliens are too fast for the Marine's puny weapons to zero in on for effective damage due to the Marine players having to aim and stay on target while the aliens can just chomp and bash in a general area for effect. It takes almost an entire magazine to kill a Lurk...I would say the Marines need more firepower in their arsenals to help stem the constant alien tide. perhaps a heavy infantry machine gun or a plasma style gun and grenades, definitely grenades. I am not saying that the Marines should be altered to be Super Marines since the overwhelming odds add a sense of urgency to the game but an "Elite Marine Frontiersman" should have access to a little more weaponry to hold back the speedy alien threat.

    Remember that the rifle is free. And its upgrades are free to the marine player. A lerk is 30 res for the alien player. Marines in groups have the advantage, so make sure not to go off by yourself. You will die quick

    Also, have you tried out the shotgun and the grenade launcher?
