Can't connect to servers

Hi!
Just got the game, but it doesn't seem to work properly.
When I go to the server browser I only see a few servers (my friends say, that they see a lot more)
Also, 90% of the time when I try to connect to a server it loads a few seconds and then says tha "Couldn't connect to server" I don't know what's causing this, since I have managed to get into a few games.
Any help?
