Game worked at release, now can't join servers

I was playing yesterday. Now my server browser is empty, pressing refresh freezes the client. Trying to exit the client normally freezes it. Trying to start a local server makes the game get stuck on a loading screen. Trying to join through friends list or the nanogrid website server browser gives "Couldn't establish a connection with the server".
I have tried verify, reinstalling the game and playing without the overlay and nothing fixes these issues.
The log file only contains:
