Semper-Fi - Hoo-Ah!
Map begins:
2, count them, TWO full on skulk rushes ----> Repelled decisively
and now its the Marines turn, and put the fear of extinction into them we did.
Scratch 1 Hive: Team 1 Victory, lets restart the map ladies and do it again!
Can I get a Red Blooded Terran Marine, HOO-AH!?

Rah, rah, rah. Gimme an M. Gimme an A. Gimme a RINE.
Go, uh, team.
Unfortunately, the last few games I've played (as alien ) the marines there were poorly trained excuses not even fit to be irregulars. On two occasions a skulk rush succeeded in wiping out the marines within minutes of the match start, even though the marines had a two man numerical superiority.
The third time, they managed to fight back a small amount but failed to press the attack beyond taking one hive.
Err, for marines that should be "ooo-rah", not "hoo-ah". ;^P (that's ooo as in "hoot")
On most maps, skulk rushs are actually not too difficult to defend against. You just need to have some people paying attention to the entrances. Dying to a skulk rush is the most frusturating thing imaginable. It hasn't happened go me in quite a while, though. ;^)
Rainman
(For those of you who are curious, yes they did succeed in holding off the next rush.)
