<div class="IPBDescription">Ok , i show u my level</div>well i ake it to global warfare - not to half-life as some of peaople told me and not to sven co-op as i first time planed - www.hot.ee/cyberdaemon/house2.map
I got it to compile!! A few textures missing but most of them are there after I edited the wad paths - I took out the marin who was floating in space, there are just a few holes to patch now and I might be able to run VIS. I dont know what to say - I really feel like taking the **** it would chear me up on this really boring day, but that wouldnt be right especaily because most of the people on this board have been so nice. So here is what I think - Firstly I dont think I would of released this map on the internet - I would of made someone I know play it first because I trust them and I can cope with them mocking me a bit if my map is rubbish. I think you have an exerlent understanding of scale - which is something I still have alot of trubble with even though ive been mapping for years. I think that your understanding of structural damage is pretty good too. The texturing is the worst Ive ever seen I think it would of been better is you'd textured the whole level with bricks. There is a large hole in the side of the garrage(?) which is causing a leak - there maybe others - also make sure you dont put entitys outside your map. To get sky on a wall all you have to do is select the brush and apply the "sky" texture(its pale blue) to it. You should use a light_enviroment for the outside areas - its like the sun and it cast light from the sky. A brightness of about 25 is night and 100 or so for a normal day light - the pitch is from the horizontal -20 is the setting sun and -85 would be midday in summer. The r_speeds are way to high - you should give some of the buidings thicker walls and arrange them is such a way that you cant see too much of them from any one point, restrain the player close to the buildings so they cant see them from far away - this will make it much easyer to control r_speeds. If your taking this map to global warfare I suggest you remove the ns.wad from your worldcraft texture list! Also I dont think you should try to release this map - its just not ready yet - work on it for atleat a month - esp. the texturing and r_speeds, then try it on your friends and see what they think.
first of all - u didnt get latest version of my map - its the oldest second its not relased anyway third i cnow how to make sky (i add that in the end of the map - final ver) and thanx for info about light things

cyberdaemon, you strike me as a very self-involved person. This board is for everyone to give input and allow the mapper to make adjustments based on his/her own decisions as to what is appropriate. WE don't owe you anything, we don't even owe you a reply of any sort - just remember that when you bark at people. Also, how bout compiling a map and giving us screenshots instead of dumping a map in our laps and saying "compile this if you want to look at it".
As for your first message that started this thread, does anyone have a translator? I have no idea what he is trying to say...

Well put. I do see a lot of defensivness sometimes when someone points out a problem on these forums. We don't use this place to cut down on other's levels, and it actually takes a lot of time and energy to search for things that may need improving. It's only for the sake of the person's map whom we are commenting on, and like Hanz said... We're doing it with absolutely no direct compensation. Some people seem to take long detailed comments on what can be improved in a level for granted, as if the person who is commenting owes it to them. Ha. There is (obviously) even others who take these comments as cut-downs, which couldn't be further from the truth. We are spending valuable time and energy to come up with these comments to help each other out... this isn't a contest.
