No Menu...

When I launch the game I can't see the game menu, I can hear the sounds... see the background, but cant see the actual menu... tried windowed mode.... re-installed twice... updated video drivers... and verified integrity of game cache over and over...
This needs to be fixed... I've searched all over and can't find a fix for it... someone help please.
It's pretty annoying to buy a game and then not even be able to play. I know this is a common problem and it should be addressed.
**EDIT** deleted shaders folder in \Steam\steamapps\common\natural selection 2\ns2\shaders and verified integrity of game cache and it worked! finally!
