Am I missing something, or is there no Swim Up/Down function for wallwalking?

With the lack of Z movement relative to the camera, my range of movement when wallwalking has taken a pretty serious hit since NS1. I cannot, for example, stick to the ceiling, look at the floor and move forward or backward. I can't recall if jump/crouch worked this way in the first game or if I had bound Swim Up/Down, but I have not yet been able to find an equivalent in the options. Am I missing something, or is it simply not there?
