Was streaming earlier myself. Aggravating as XSplit cuts my framerate into roughly a quarter its normal value for some reason. Set the NS/XSplit CPU core affinities separately, quit out of all unused programs, still goes down to 14-20fps... but only while streaming. Soon as I switch broadcast mode off (even with XSplit still running) framerates instantly jump to normal again. Maddening.

On the up side, starting to see a lot more classic NS names around at random; Guspaz, Mouse, and one of the FFT boys even, just this evening.

I'd be impressed if you've managed to see me in-game over the past ~12-14 hours. *points at his location* I've been asleep & at work.

Yeah, I can stream up to 1080p no problem from a bandwidth perspective... but the CPU hit apparently is more than enough to kill performance for some reason. Maddening. Even with the core affinities set properly. May end up rebooting and stripping everything down to see if I can get it to behave nicely.

Hmm. There must be a Mouse imposter out there then, given how uncommon the name is. ;)

Yep NS2 eats CPU cycels for breakfast, how about the veryfast or perhaps superfast setting @2000kbps and going 720p? That lessens the loads significantly from 1080p->720p...

I do 1500 bitrate, 6 quality, 720p and it seems to work/look fine

Had 70 people watching for 3 hours today!
