whip bombard - bouncy projectile

<div class="IPBDescription">like a grenade, so they can shoot around corners</div>I think whips would be much more useful throughout the game if the bombard projectile was bouncy - similar to the grenades from the grenade launcher, perhaps even with a bit of roll in its movement.

The alien commander could be a lot more tactical with them and they would be useful for assault as well as defense. Clever placement would mean you could bombard marines/structures without placing the whips into too much risk.

    Yeah if not normally it could be an upgraded version. There definitely needs to happen something, it really annoys me to see how Marine can totally bypass alien defences at all levels by just using grenade launcher.

    there should also be a viable counter.

    It feels so pointless when you spend time placing the defenses for good cover, then 1 marine just owns everything from around a corner.

    The aliens are definitely lacking, i hope they look into this.

    its to bad that gorges cannot build something like bone wall, that would be like a wall that prevent grenades but always alien defense to shoot through it.

    Whips that fire target seeking projectiles (similar to Swarm Host in SC2:HotS) may be an interesting option.

    The largest problem I see with whips is their cost to effect ratio. They simply cost to much even when supported by a gorge.

    I understand the argument that Grenade launchers are too powerful.
    But remember than Wips are NPCS and Grenade lauchers are carried by players.
    We cant buff whips to be better at killing stuff than gorges.

    Also... A siege unit that fires round courners... Sounds like an ARC to me.

    Whips just need to be able to lob grenades back properly, like in earlier beta versions.

    You say a whip that can actually do something and is 'NPC' would be too powerful, then mention ARCs and have no problem with it? ARCs do the exact same thing, commander moves them somewhere, presses deploy and they rape every building near. Aliens have problems breaking seiges, khamm has nothing to do, whips are useless yet have an armour melting attack. SEems like a perfect combination to me. Ontop of that you can simply destroy the cyst to ###### a whip over. No such luck with ARCs, or should we make them only useable in powered rooms (retarded idea but same concept)
