<div class="IPBDescription">or napalm >:D</div>This is a pretty straightforward idea. Every time I see a flamethrower shooting through spores (and sometimes, umbra) it crosses my mind that the two should interact somehow.
Here's a few possibilities:
<strike>1) The flamethrower "sweeps up" spore clouds, making them disappear</strike> (this already happens)
2) The flamethrower causes the spore clouds to flare up and disappear, setting everyone within the cloud (and the lerk if it's still nearby) alight.
3) The flamethrower causes the spore clouds to go boom. This wouldn't affect other marines, but it would affect the flamethrowerer and any aliens/alien structures.

Unless you've been told that this happens though, I imagine it would be pretty hard to guess. Nobody fires a flamethrower aimlessly at the lerk gas cloud 'just to see if anything happens'.
