<div class="IPBDescription">With lots of other players!</div>I am soo excited! NS2 really took off, and it looks like a great start!
Number of players exceeded 1500 on release night - and half my friends don't even expect the game to come out until tomorrow!

    Actually, the number of players playing inside of servers running the NS2stats mod exceeded 1500. There was probably more.

    Yeah! congrats Hugh and Charlie and the rest!

    Was fun to see the launch stream yesterday and get to play Refinery before the stooorm of greenies.

    ns2servers.devicenull.org isn't updating with the latest servers!

    Even some of the UWE Official ones aren't showing up (Singapore).

    So yes there are definitely more than ns2servers shows. opensteamworks will be a more reliable source :)

    I also have to hand it to the new players, when I command games they are always eager to do exactly what I tell them to. Just steamrolled two games in a row as comm due to great newbie teamwork. When I say I want 2 gorges to go nanogrid, I can expect 2 gorges in nano. Hell even in beta you get more rambo-players than I ever got with the newbies, it is great.

    I had a blast yesterday too.

    Was commanding, saw a hive, said to the team to go to the waypoint (at the hive) and shoot the yellow thing. Made a distress beacon to everyone go together, but instead of going to the waypoint, everyone was shooting at the mac (the yellow thing)

    HAHAHAHAHA

    So I just said, no, not this guy. First go to the waypoint, then shoot. In the end they just killed the hive :)

    I wish I could live the dream, the darn game wont work! I had everything ready too, beer, chips, I was ready to rock.

    After 4 hours of troubleshooting I gave up. what a let down :(

    Glad to see some people in the game though

    We just had the closest game ever, marines and aliens both rushed at the same time, 3 ccs and 3 hives later aliens killed the last cc literally one second before the marines killed the last hive.

    It was the most epic game I have ever played!

    Yeah it's interesting. I played with greens today. They were actually helpful, we had good fights. Well, they need to learn to protect a hive from a rush. And not to lose 3 Onoses in 3 seconds vs Exos. But it was fun.

    Sad to say I only had chance to play for an hour last night but it was a blast. The new folks are bringing a lot of fresh energy with them. Can't wait for the weekend :D
