I only have a 512mb GPU but i7 core can I play low rez?

Just wondering if anyone else has been able to make the game work with lower than recommended specs

Im running a

Windows 7 64 bit
i7 CPU 1.6 GHz
4 Gigs RAM
Nvidia GeForce 310M (512Mb)

Thanks for your help. Really hoping I can run this game I loved the first one.

    I presume that is the i7 720QM? I've run NS2 on my Core2Duo 2.0GHz laptop with integrated graphics, but with poor framerate (<20fps). You're welcome to try, but I wouldn't expect any miracles.

    So I downloaded the game. It works but only at 20 FPS on the lowest settings with drops during big battles. Guess I'll need to look into a new GPU ; )

    You'd probably need to invest in both a new CPU and GPU. NS2 uses considerably more CPU power than other games, such that your CPU is likely going to be your limiting hardware, especially if you upgrade the GPU.
