Quick Question

I'm thinking about buying this game when it comes out, but I have a question that I couldn't find the answer to after scouring the internet for some time; What's the player limit like on most servers? I seen on a video on youtube that there was 8 on each team, but I don't really think that's enough, is there servers that run more players than this? If so, how many players?

The hardcoded server limit as of b225 is 24 players (12 v 12). 8 v 8 is enough however.

Game is balanced within a range of 12 (6v6) up to around 18 (9v9) players. The maps are too small and the game will get very spammy with more than that, can still be fun for random pub games though. However aliens will have trouble re spawning the more players there are (egg-locked), or are forced to go Shift hive to get Shifts for more eggs using team resources.

There was an experiment done if your interested in massive amounts of players though where the limit was removed
