<div class="IPBDescription">Also have a look for more single/dual core bugs.</div>It's getting on a bit now, these single/dual core issues might be worse than you thought, we haven't been able to run local servers and explore for weeks, each patch says it's fixed but it never is, luckily we can connect to modded servers again but we can't explore and test maps which is annoying if you're trying to work on one, i have had to resort to running a dedicated which has it's own issues, setup each time you want to test is a hassle and now i can't even do that because it won't update to 224.

I don't know why i didn't think of this before but as i mentioned i was running a dedicated server using steamcmd, it fails to update now for some reason so i tried a bunch of things like copying game files across to the server folder, anyway today i realised i could simply try running a dedicated from the game folder and it actually works!

Create a shortcut to Server.exe in the steam natural selection 2 folder, usually "Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\natural selection 2", right click the shortcut and in properties add "-name MapTest -map ns2_mapname -limit 2" after Server.exe, run it and you should see it in the list.

What i don't get is why this works but in game doesn't?

Yes, I was able to load the map too. But at the first try it said something like "Server Mod out of date". And then it worked at the 2nd try. Thanks! :D All my vents are working so far, what a relief.

I just have the feeling that it didn't load every part of my map. Some things are not there anymore, but I will double check that when I have time to use the editor. Oh, and when I start NS2, it doesn't shows me the two start options, it just starts NS2.

Ok, the map (honorguard) is fine and the missing faces are not in any group. I should be able to see them, but they are just invisible.

And when I try to load yakushima, it always says "Server Mod is out of date". What does this mean and do you get the same problems?

Edit: Now it won't load Honorguard anymore -> Server Mod is out of date......................................woohoo

Starting a listen server on a dual core machine should be fixed now. Please let us know if you are still having problems.

Everything is working now! (where it used to not work). Yay! So it actually had something to do with dual core processors?
