CPU upgrade worth it?

I'm currently considering swapping my X4 955 for an i5 3570k, using a 5870 for graphics currently.

As NS2 is quite CPU demanding my performance could be better, the question is whether this upgrade is worth it.

Any recommendation?

2500k Sandy Bridge @ 4.2 Ghz (a bit more than turbo mode?) is doing a terrific job, heck I've even hosted some internal PT's with 18-24 players and played alongside it on a client (all on the 2500k box, also with a HD5870 1Gb)

You'd still need to OC it a bit ~4.0Ghz, but that is very easy to do. The Ivy Bridge is usually about 4-6% faster

i5-3570K (or 2500K) is quite a bit faster than PII 955. If you are thinking about upgrading anway, it's the most reasonable upgrade to make currently. If you meant if it's worth it just for NS2, I would (and will, since my situation is actually very similar) rather wait a week or two and see how the game runs after release.
