Weapon drop after death only with 2. CC

To weaken Marine last stand on with only one CC left even more (armory energy stuff did good.. but there is more needed) i would suggest to link weapon pickup to the second CC (kinda like leap for aliens).
This would also add something to the importance of a second CC.

Maybe it should cost a little.. or let it be for free.
U could also think about to raise the time of the weapon stayin on the ground with a 3.CC upgrade.
Maybe to a longer time then its now or to the same time and the 2.CC gives pickup with less time.

    your end goal makes sense and I agree it's an issue: reduce the effectiveness of the drop weapon system, at least in the early game.

    but the execution seems poor and unintuitive. what makes guns magically disappear before a second CC? how are players expected to know this information or learn it with ease?

    Well early game is not really the problem since u mostly have a 2. CC when u got ur first shotgun whatever researched.
    And by makin weapon pickup a fast low cost research an icon (clearly showing what is meant) will pop up when the short research is finished just like for jetpacks.
    This way weapon pickup should be there anyway as soon as there would be weapons to pick up but it would be lost when the game is near the end.
    The end where rines just GL spam everything around there base and those high cost GLs get pickup over and over.
    Aliens could with this change run in and kill those guys and take out those weapons/res, which will allow less last stand spam and a shorter last stand.
