Pretty nervous for this addition, I feel it's the jenga style collision that is the crux of losing marine position in close range combat. Someone mentioned that you could be 3 times the current width away from the skulks reticule and still take damage? It'll be interesting, probably won't frustrate newer alien players to tears at least.

Hopefully the actual implementation isnt as bad as it sounds.
Yea.. i really have my doubts regarding that, especially with the distinct lack of a team or even a couple players in the PT group that could test those kind of changes to see potential impact on play of all levels...

Seconded. This could turn out really awesome, or it could make marine vs skulk combat uninteresting. It's definitely one of the more... interesting changes.
I created an account just to answer this question:
First disclaimer: I haven't played the game yet, i pre-ordered it but haven't had a chance to actually experience it yet. However i have watched quite a few videos of play footage, so my judgement is based off of those.
Simply put, from a spectator point of view, bunny hopping looks weird and "not right". Personally i don't think a marine should be able to aim and jump at the same time.
my 2c: the spammy amount of jumps should be adressed as a problem.
