How do you fix commander red areas?

I tried using collision geometry but it doesn't help, any ideas?

Create your "helper" geometry for the areas where the commander is having trouble building and add it to a group called CommanderBuild. Geometry in this group will be invisible, but the commander will be able to build on it.

Thanks but im still having trouble, do i have to box it in or is a flat face enough to add on top?

I guess i need to add more because a simple flat face isn't working.

A flat face in the region should be enough. Can you post a screenshot perhaps?

It's ok i decided to change the layout a bit and it's working but while testing it seemed to be caused by the refinery_catwalks_30r or 30l model when rotated, although two others worked elsewhere so im not sure why it didn't that time.

It may be that you need to add the prop that is causing you problems to the CommanderNoBuild group and then manually create a building surface yourself using CommanderBuild geometry. It's not a perfect solution but it should give you the level of control you need.
