End Welder Stacking

If this has been mentioned before, I apologize but my search on the forums didn't find anything on it.

Simple idea, only allow a unit to be welded by a single player or mac at a time. This welding trains behind exo's, especially with the additions of MACS, is easily abused. I know you're trying to balance it by changing the welding rate, but all you're doing is curing the symptom but not the source, which is players stacking welders and macs on units.

If a unit is being welded already by a mac or person, when someone else tries to weld them just have some sort of graphical and sound notification that says "unit is already under repair."

This would allow far easier balancing of welding rates while ending any sort of mac or welder abuse we see currently.

    End lerk gas stack
    End gorge bile bomb stack
    End gorge heal stack

    Most of those are dots as well so the player dosent have to stick around. At least with welding that player can't do anything else but run behind and weld

    The problem isn't with the weld stacking, it's the macs that are the problem. Just like the mass drifter rushes, there needs to be an ai cap.

    It should be clear when such a strategy is going to be deployed and thus can be deflected. Even when caught by surprise, if the alien team is actually as good as the marines, they should be able to take advantage of the immobility of the push to counter attack. Now if the aliens are not good enough to do that then they should not win nor should anything be changed to allow them to win. I can only see this being an issue when there are too few players and that is a player count issue not a balance one. Lastly, server side mods can always open up many ways to experiment with player count balancing later on.
