Memory Issue? Game Freezes ocassionally

Hi,
I've been playing the NS2 Beta for the past month or so and every now and then my game freezes up and crashes. The notice that pops up is generally a 'fatal error' regarding memory issues. I have 8GB of RAM and handle other games pretty well, so I was wondering if this was a known issue? I've noticed that this happens generally when I'm commanding as the marines, but this could just be coincidence.
