<div class="IPBDescription">also for spectating</div>as most of you might have noticed: alien structures increase their maximum health and/or armor over time, until they are mature. e.g. a mature alien hive has 60% more effective maximum health than a newborn one. this can have a massive impact on gameplay if you think about it.
however, these health-boni vary a lot. e.g. a whip will only gain 20% more effective health, a shade or shift gains 100%. but do commanders really bother looking at the absolute numbers in the bottom center? i don't think so, they look for the current health-percentage instead.
afaik UWE is planning to add some graphical effects to display the maturation, but this will not address the issue of highly varying boni imo.
so how about introducing some graphical way to communicate this to the player? i bet there are countless ways to do this and i think UWE would come up with a nice solution for this e.g. they already have a nice solution to display an alien player's health and armor with just one indicator.
