Crash after map-load

Hi there,
I haven't played the beta in a while (few weeks) and just installed my new GPU, so I figured I'd give it a whirl.
However, after loading the map (Summit, explore), I get a black screen with lettering saying something about autobalance and joining a team soon before the game stops working.
I have an i5-750@3.6GHz, HD7850 (newest drivers), 8gb ddr3 1600 and I'm on Win7 x64.
Any advice on what to try?
So far I have only re-run the NS2 DirectX redistro to no effect, I'd rather not reinstall unless necessary (700 KB max DL speed, gg).
It happens on other maps and in non-explore, too.
