I remember tournament.com was a bust for CS probably would be the same for NS2

    I think first you need a serious and large enough competitive scene before you can even begin to think about side-activities like betting, lol.

    And a game thats not prone to huge balance changes (adrenalyn, exos, skulk bite etc) patch to patch

    As Xarius said and RobustPenguin alluded to, once the game is bigger and in a state where the developers are happy with the balance it could be a possibility.

    However, I see no need for a in-game function when a third party website would do the job just fine. In fact it would work better considering most bets would be on streamed competitive games.

    It's way too easy to cheat (even after script checking) for people to be able to bet confidently.

    Have you heard of <a href="http://bitcoin.org/" target="_blank">Bitcoin</a>? It's possible to integrate it right into the server code so everything is automated. It could also be used for server donations / buying admin/reserved slots.

    Well at least it could be a possibility!

    Bitcoins are a bit hard to turn into cash but it is a possibility. Wonder what the legal is on something like this as well.

    Eh if I win the lottery ill get this setup for sure guys!
