<div class="IPBDescription">Does this actually work?</div> So, can you actually 'hear' the hive as commander, scrolling over the map and waiting at the hive locations?
You can hear it, but with the sounds coming over voice comm, the in-game sounds, and everything else, it's pretty hard to hear. I'm a fan of scanner sweep. For 2 RPs, it shows what structures they've got up around the Hive too - you can't hear Defensive Chambers...

Start a lan game, type sv_cheats 1 in the console, get into the command console and test it.
