<div class="IPBDescription">I'm seriously considering buying a GC</div>well today is the day: The first new metroid games since Super Metroid are out!

Anybody out there buy a gba or gamecube just for these games? heh. I'm really debating getting a GC myself... Its hard, but I'm flat broke so alas I cannot afford it. :(

    I've played Super Metroid over and over and over again. I love that game. Unfortunately, I don't see myself buying any of the new consoles anytime soon.

    RE is a rip off of what? Itself? Because it can't be a rip off of any other game. It is the founder of the survival/horror genre. The GC version did the game justice, and allowed it to reach its original goal, to play like a movie.

    System Shock = 1994

    RE = 1996.

    Although you're right, the GC version was very well done.

    I thought it was Alone in the Dark that really started the whole Survival Horro genre. Resident Evil made it popular and the term "Survival Horror" was coined with Resident Evil.

    I like RE 1, 2, and 3 code veronica turned weird and looks like then next new one, not zero, is going to do the same. From what i have seen it looks out there.

    I personally prefer the Silent Hill series over RE. RE is more of a shoot em up while Silent Hill creeps me out.

    Prime is a beautiful game with some spiffy effects. If you stand next to a pipe that has steam shooting out your visor fogs up and around the eges there's beads of water. After shooting rapidly for long periods of time once you stop heat waves begin to rise from the barrel of your gun. It's bey00tyful. The thermal vision is pretty. But there's nothing more horrifying than walking into a room and seeing a glass cylinder with a metroid inside.
