Com/map exploits on mineshaft

Ello,

I am new to this forum and somehow too stupid to use the search function properly (at least i cannot get beyond an error message) so I want to apologize if there is a topic on commander/map exploits already. Unfortunately I could'nt find it. Today I did some tests on mineshaft and stumbled upon three spots where both aliens and marines can leave the map and for example walk on top of the ceiling. While this sounds pretty useless at first because a player outside the map cannot help his team, the game allows attacks like bilebomb or the grenade launcher to penetrate the ceiling. So basicly a gorge can walk on top of the marine bases and bilebomb through the ceiling. And no marine will be able to attack it at all. (Same applies to a marine with grenade launcher although he will run out of ammo eventually.

So my question is: where do I have to report this? Just post screenies/videos on the public forum?

Greetings
m00

Is a good place to post it. That is the feedback thread for mineshaft. Supposedly the map is getting another overhaul for this next patch so these might be fixed.

Another good thing you can do is to annotate while playing if you run into an issue like this with a map.

Move yourself into the position on the map where the exploit is and open your console. type "annotate <message>" and it will mark the map with that message for the mapper to see. This is the best way to point out potential problems like getting stuck, level leaks allowing you to get outside the map or commander build exploits. If you would like to see your annotation type displayannotations <optional build number and map name>. So for example displayannotations 219 ns2_mineshaft in your console and it will toggle them on/off.

Meh mine shaft isn't ever going to be a good map in till they remove the rock art set from it. Add more lights and in general polish up the map so it runs well. There are still loads of spots that u get stuck. The devs need to be way less "artistic" and start thinking about gameplay when making there levels.

I would actually PM <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showuser=22749" target="_blank">SgtBarlow</a> (who created and works on mineshaft) pictures of the specific spots you can get out of the map.

Also, for future reference, the forums have an <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?s=&act=Search&mode=adv&f=0" target="_blank">advanced search feature</a>, that is way better than the basic search bar.

Mineshaft is currently undergoing substantial layout and design changes. That's the primary reason that all the exploits and bugs have not been squashed yet... why fix them when they might not be there next time and there are huge changes that will likely have more bugs/exploits too? :s

Tell me where they are so I can abuse the fu** out of them, it's the only way they will get fixed.
