<div class="IPBDescription">by_mesa</div>The most vulnerable plyr at the moment is probably the Gorge. In a previous <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=117181&hl=" target="_blank">post</a> I made the suggestion that Gorgie should have greater jump capabilities and (perhaps a perch function like the lerk).

Fat blob thing squiggling on the ground just isn't 'menacing'. A viscous and carnal race, yet it's 2nd lifeform can be axed pretty easy. The Gorge reminds me of some of the species that existed on earth that never quite made it on account of being absurd/not 'naturally selected'.

The fact that the Gorge has all chemical based weopons. spit/spray/bile, it is obvious that it's something of a 'bacteriuum' factory.. Well;

What if during the slide, the gorge is able to use friction and chemistry to generate extra energy that it can use to springload it's jump?
Furthermore, when the 'super-jump' is successful, another reaction takes place in the belly of the gorg giving it buoyancy. This allows the gorg to slow the rate of it's descent, but not completely hover. This ability is controlled by a kind of lung, meaning that the PLYR can choose to fall/complete 'super jump' normally, slow descent entirely or fire-drop-fire-drop or even use the 'hang-time' to recharge for another super-jump.

Thank you have a nice day

    As long as the gorgie makes her squealie noises each time she jumps, I'd say this is high priority to code for release.

    From day 1 (of the NS2 proposal) I had imagined that their would be more emphasis on the manipulation of gravity.
    Generally speaking, we (in game) are stationed on off-world platforms that rely on artificial gravity generators.
    It's an easy thing to configure (dev-side) and it ties in with the concept.

    I feel another topic coming on..
