Sentry Hitboxes?

<div class="IPBDescription">A solution for aliens vs turrets.</div> All too often I see people complaining that they can't seem to take out turrets very well.

Below I've attached a picture of a sentry. The red boxes indicate areas where you should NOT aim as a fade/lerk.

If you aim at the top, your shots pass through the sentry and impact on whatever's behind.

If you aim at the bottom, your shots pass through and hit the floor (Which, as a fade, at least gives some splash damage to the sentry.

If you aim right at the top of the legs/bottom of the turret, then you'll impact and do full damage.

Just a quick tip to lerks: Since needles has somewhat of an arc, depending on your distance, aim at the top of the sentry, and it should hit the middle. Again, this depends on your distance. If you're really far away, you may even have to aim up somewhat higher.

is this being fixed? It seems to me bile bombs would be worthless in this case.

Bile bombs are probably gonna have a hug splash damage and radius anyways..

Dunno. But if you're out of the turrets firing range, you should be firing at the top of the sentry and it should hit the middle.

Excellent work on this. I've often wondered if I was hitting sentries or not. Now I know. Again, well said, and the picture leaves no doubt as to your explanation. Good job!
