I can't seem to utilize most basic weapon: bite. Since you have to hit marine twice I lose a lot. Take this for instance: I climb a wall and drop onto a marine. First problem-> I often miss biting from drop. What is the best technique to utilize advantage you have with dropping. Second problem-> This is a big problem, basic alien has very small FOV and after biting a human from behind, while he moves, secon bite misses if human goes a little left or right and I fall past him so he kills me before I can turn and find him again, How do u bite without falling past the marine? I die a lot because of that. I find it easier to chase targets with marine and knife than with alien, because it has low limited FOV. I would like a skulk experts advice on that.

If you're having trouble biting him during the drop, try this:

When he passes under you, wait a second and then drop. You can usually drop right behind him, run up a few steps and get a bite in before he even knows you're there.

If he's alone (and in light armor), you should get a kill the majority of the time. If he's got a buddy walking behind him who you weren't aware of, the buddy will usually start firing at you before you get that first bite in on the lead guy. In that case, either give everything you've got or get out of there.

Falling past the marine isn't the problem. That's going to happen to just about every skulk. The trick is to figure out where he went and to keep moving.

Standing still while trying to get your bearings will get you shot. Even if you've got to run around for 5 seconds while trying to find him, it's better than taking that 1 second to glance around the room while motionless.

The skulk's advantage is they're small targets and fast movers. Just keep moving and you should be okay.

Yep. You can also run for the nearby wall, go up and reorient yourself for another attack, perhaps from another angle. The maintenance room in NS_Hera is great for this tactic.
