We need a trade/key-request forum

massive mob inc.
Ok, now ... NS2 is finally purchasable on Steam after a long time and old (ancient) preorderers will get an giftable, additional key to hand out, which is great.

But since this will generate a huge wave of additional interest - and coming with this probably many new users, I suppose it would be great if there would be a seperate forum for people that are either looking for a key or for people that would like to trade their spare copy (no friends?). We had the generosity thread, where is it anyway?, but imho a single thread is no longer sufficient.

At least this would prevent the General Discussions from being flooded by "don't have money give me key, i have this and want that"-threads.

I agree, this happened to Dota when they gave out keys to anyone in the beta and the forums filled with begging threads. It may be wise to have a place for the beggers to go to so things stay organized.

    It wasn't sticky before. :P

A single thread misses the point, since exchanging/trading items (yes, even games) on steam is a rising trend lately. If you want to know how this may look like, you should look at the dota forums.

Because of this i would call it a marketplace and not a begging quarter, a thing even the romans came up with. ;)
