Can't view server list while in game?

I was just wondering if this is by design or a flaw in the menu system?? I don't understand why I can't be in the ready room (or even in the middle of a game) and look for others servers without having to disconnect first.
One thing I would add in as part of the server list is being able to set a default filter by which the servers are listed for example; having it defaulted to list the servers by lowest->highest ping without having to manually do it each time. Now people may not want this and may want to list it my server name so they could have that as their default if they choose. Thoughts?

And we do indeed need way more filters and such as well, future stuff but it should go in. The current server browser is severely lacking if you come from a PC gamer crowd, which is the target audience what with this being a PC title and having NS as a predecessor :P
