'hiding Behind Factories' Always A Danger?

<div class="IPBDescription">Can't you just put the TF by the wall?</div> So, I'm starting the game, and buliding up the initial base. Spawn point, TF... and Turrets around it:

______ <- wall
T..TF..T
..........
T........T

Can the skulks still get behind that, and be safe from the turrets? Is there any way areound it? Is putting the TF 'one space down' a better idea?

I dont think skulks are able to get behing that TF. Sure in some cases there will be a small glitch for the skulks to crawl down, but mostly that should be fine.

You'd be amazed at the little gaps that Skulks can squeeze into. I never place a TF by a wall anymore, I leave it in the middle with 3 turrets in a triangle formation covering it from all sides.

Yup, I am a tried and true, triangle lover here also. Three turrets in a trianlge formation around the TF and then a single SG on top of the factory itself makes for an awesome defense.

Walls are not good for putting factory behind even with turrets on side because its almost impossible to get that factory up against the wall to the point were a skulk cant get behind it. It may be possible but sometimes that collision box isnt as big as the item looks.

I used to try putting it on the wall but it always is made crooked, so I have to put turrets on each side of it

Just use the triangle formation. It works a lot better.
