<div class="IPBDescription">more then a fist...</div>Ok so everytime i see the exo i wonder why does it have a hand?.... I mean in every remote vehicle i have seen its always a pinching claw, and if all it does is hit things why not have a club for a hand....
NOW, since we do have a hand, why not use in alow the mech to grab things,
Example 1: Mech vs Structures, give the com the ability to "uproot" structures so that a mech can push or pull them around (maybe out of bilebomb range, or maybe pushig an armory slowly forward in a push on the alien base)
Example 2: Mech vs mac.... mech grabs a mac and walks around.... he gets attacked releases the mac and it welds him, he grabs it again and moves on.....
Example 3: Mech vs whip... Mech grabs whip... whip cant attack, mech cant shoot whip... but team runs by or axes it dead

Exo-bro fist? That's what I always use it for.
Edit: That wasn't really constructive, so I'll add this. I like what you're suggesting Max, though I think some of it may be a bit complex for the game. I guess I'm just reluctant to add anything resembling a scripted event as those tend to only look good on paper but just look weird when played out in game.
I like the limitations already imposed on the Exo's, I think they're a necessary balance. But it would be nice to have the free hand do something other than punch things (though I do always enjoy that).
I thought skulk-grabbing was planned, I think that would be fine mechanics because the punch seem to be one-hit-kill for skulk, so why not have an ability to grab it instead of punching? It would squish an break it, so it wouldn't take control from the player. And then the Exo could use the skulk as a thrown projectile.
Likely that would be just for fun which makes it a bit dull. Unless your gun has overheated and you need a distant weapon and you're lucky to have a skulk in the hand, which is likely more of a rare case, but being able to grab some barrels or crates would help(especially if there were the Explosive ones).
But still would be fun to see it, maybe as a mod, who knows, maybe it would actually work well. Anyway more interaction gives more variety to the gameplay.
That all makes me think of Onos charging into a huge crate to launch it at a group of marines =)
