<div class="IPBDescription">People shooting from their heads; bullets not spreading right away</div>(he's using a shotgun; i've grayed out two names in case these people would feel ashamed of their score)

well, i guess it makes sense as the player's camera is attached to the eyes, not to the weapon (no UWE, please no new camera like that :D).
but maybe there is a possible workaround to make it not look as silly for observers?

another thing i noticed is that the bullet-traces don't spread out right away: they actually spread inwards to a point of focus.

In most games the bullets come from your head. If it came from your gun, then you might be behind cover that you can see over (and it looks from your perspective like you can shoot over it) but your bullets would hit the cover in front of you instead of where you are aiming.

Yeah, it makes sense, but visual bullet traces should come from the gun, at least for spectators. Hit markers are also bugged and appear nowhere near where the bullets actually hit.

After I saw the OP's picture, I started noticing it a bit in my games. Doesn't really bother me since it happens so fast but I'd also like to see a little bit of polish.

i notice that last days too!
I watch my mates and the bullets come out of the face and the weapons don't have muzzlefire.
Just looks weird, but it's a beta and i hope they know it too and fix it before final!
Good idea talking about it, i also notice there is no muzzleflash if marines fire their gun (broken?).

Well its only a visual thing since this game doesn't use projectiles.

Wait... where do grenades get fired from?

Nanites... Making marines firing laz0rs out of their mouth since 2417!

But on a serious note: The visuals should originate from the weapon. The aim prediction from the camera.

The real projectiles don't actually have the convergence issue, just the cosmetic tracers. If you make a private server and turn on trace all, you can see that the traces start at your viewpoint and spread out from there as expected.

Would be nice to have the cosmetic tracers fixed though.
