does anyone know if the Lua interpreter reads empty spaces? Does the usage of many tabs affect the performance? Or how does it work?

It has no effect of any kind, knock yourself out.

extollo

really minimal impact during the parse/translation step. once its actually running, zero impact.

if you used 50gig of whitespace in all your lua files you might notice a slow startup.
