Allow marines to recycle others' dropped weapons

I've had a few experiences where I've bought a shotgun as a Marine, and then as soon as I left the base, found someone else's dropped shotgun sitting on the ground. Not only did I spend my own resources when I wouldn't have had to, but I can't save some other poor chap's investment either.

"Fuuuuuuu-"

It would be awesome if there was some way that Marines could hold a key to return the weapon to the nano-grid and give the original purchaser a rebate on their weapon (would also encourage players to move in groups). Right now, whether or not a dropped weapon will get used by another player is really hit and miss.

You could "recycle" it by picking it up and cycling between your weapon and his weapon, until the other player arrives. Do keep an eye on the ammo pack that also drops. Otherwise the other player will just have 8 bullets in his shotty for example. Make sure you're telling the team that you're "recycling" an >insert weapon here in >insert area here< :P

Would a system like this solve it?
