Confused now
I've seen it as a suggestion, and I've seen it in posts saying why sensories are good. And with the new patch and all, is this a new feature?

I really don't think they're as useful as they are confusing. They can yell "The enemy approaches" all they want, but if you have more than 1 chamber, you aren't going to know which one they're at until the marines start attacking anyway. Nobody touches a Sensory chamber unless they're a complete goober, so it's not like that ability will ever come into play either.
So ya, firing the parasites, and have them see through walls (with the inherent putting of marines on hivesight) or make them cloak.
the sensory chamber should disguise it self as an armory so marines will touch it.
Marines don't have to get in 'touch' range to knife a sensory turret. As a marine I've knifed down a few sensories, without getting a parasite, by swinging and then 'edging' up to the turret, until I start damaging it, then stop moving forward.
So, unless a marine just stumbles over the chamber, odds are a sensory chamber is good for little more than acting as shielding for your off chambers.
